A 34-year-old man is recovering from serious injuries after a propane tanker and passenger vehicle collided head-on, along Rideau Ferry Road near Elm Grove Road, southeast of Perth.
The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Drummond/North Elmsley-Tay Valley Fire Rescue and Lanark County Paramedics were called to the scene on Saturday, June 20, shortly after 3:30 p.m.
Firefighters had to extricate the driver of the passenger vehicle. The patient, from Lanark, suffered serious, but not-life-threatening injuries.
Police say there was no one else in the car and the other driver was not injured.
The investigation is ongoing, with the assistance of an OPP Collision Reconstructionist and OPP Technical Collision Investigator.
