Environment Canada meteorologists say they're tracking a line of severe thunderstorms capable of producing very strong wind gusts, up to nickel size hail and heavy rain.
The weather agency issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Ottawa, Kanata and Orleans around 4:15 p.m., Monday.
There's no word on when exactly the storm is expected to land in the capital.
The Office of the Fire Marshal and Emergency Management recommends that you take cover immediately if threatening weather approaches.
A heat warning also continues for the capital region and is expected to end Tuesday evening.
