It's been a week since Ottawa Public Health (OPH) had to report another local death due to COVID-19.
The city's overall death toll has been at 260 since June 15.
It's the longest stretch the city has gone without reporting another death due to the virus since OPH reported the first death on March 25.
OPH says there's only one new lab-confirmed case of the virus to report on Monday, bringing the city's overall total since the start of the pandemic to 2,056. Of those, 84.8 per cent (1,744) have been resolved.
The local health agency says it only knows about 52 active cases of COVID-19 in the city.
There are four people in Ottawa hospitals with the virus as of Monday afternoon, one of which is in intensive care.
OPH says there are still seven institutions dealing with COVID-19 outbreaks.
